- Product details:A beautifully decorated vintage ceramic bowl by Charlotte Rhead for Bursley Ware, England, in the TL43 Blue Peony pattern. The shallow bowl features Rhead’s characteristic tube-lined decoration, with stylised peonies and foliage picked out in soft shades of blue, pink and violet against a mottled cream-grey background. The broad open form displays the decoration particularly well and makes it a lovely piece for a bedside table, dressing table or bathroom, as well as for a collector of Charlotte Rhead ceramics. The underside carries the Bursley Ware / Charlotte Rhead / England backstamp, together with the hand-painted TL43 pattern number and decorator’s marks. Designer: Charlotte Rhead Maker: Bursley Ware Pattern: TL43 / Blue Peony Origin: England Period: c.1940s Material: Glazed ceramic Dimensions: Approx. 22cm diameter Condition Good vintage condition. There is one very small chip to the underside of the rim, which is not noticeable when displayed, along with two small glaze irregularities from manufacture. No cracks noted.
