- Product details:A striking Swedish art glass vase designed by Bo Borgström for Åseda Glasbruk, c.1960s. Hand-blown in warm amber glass, the vase has a tall elongated neck rising from a substantial clear glass base, finished with an expressive asymmetric folded rim. At 32cm tall, its restrained form and tonal variation give it considerable sculptural presence. Bo Borgström joined Åseda Glasbruk in 1961 and became closely associated with the glassworks' distinctive modernist output of the 1960s and 1970s. His designs combined simple Scandinavian forms with strong colour and expressive hand-worked glass. The original Åseda Sweden foil label remains attached to the base. Selected for its elegant silhouette, colour and sculptural form. Excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and only minimal signs of age.
