- Product details:A striking large-scale Italian art glass jug from Empoli, Tuscany, dating to c.1960s–70s. Hand-blown in rich blue glass, the piece has an elegant elongated silhouette and generous proportions characteristic of Empoli glass from the 1960s and 1970s. At approximately 47cm tall, it has considerable presence and works beautifully as a standalone sculptural object. Empoli glass was produced by numerous small glassworks in and around the Tuscan town of Empoli during the post-war period. Much of the period's production was exported internationally and is now collected for its distinctive colour, expressive forms and decorative scale. Selected for its strong form, colour and scale. Excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and only minimal signs of age.
